what it is, who it is for, who makes it
Sparkloom is a private sky for your thoughts. You throw in anything at all — a half-finished idea, a feeling you cannot name, a rant, a song you half remember, a project you have been circling for years — and Sparkloom grows it. Each thought becomes a star. Stars that belong together become constellations. Constellations become things you can actually make: a comic, a book, a workshop, a campaign, a paper, a curriculum.
It is built for minds that do not move in straight lines. That means autistic and ADHD minds, dyslexic and dyspraxic minds, minds with a pervasive drive for autonomy, minds that feel rejection sharply, and minds that hold enormous amounts at once. Nothing here is called messy, chaotic or disordered, because a fast, lateral, web-shaped mind is not a fault to be corrected. Every word, colour, sound and animation can be changed to suit the person reading it, including the letter shapes, the size of the text, the amount of movement, and whether anything speaks at all.
Sparkloom has two editions with the same soul. The young edition is written for people under sixteen, in shorter, simpler sentences, with a different set of forms and its own safeguards. The sixteen-and-over edition keeps the same honesty in grown-up language. Both are held to the Diverse Solutions Canopy One Standard: reading tools built in, no dead ends, no demands, and the person always holding the pen.
It is made by a small independent team working with neurodivergent designers, writers and testers, and built to that same standard rather than to a growth target. If something here does not work for you, that is information we want, not a failure on your part.
